What’s the Role?
The Financial Crime Surveillance (FCS) team plays a critical role in protecting the bank and its customers from financial crime. We are seeking both Senior Risk Analysts and Risk Analysts to investigate unusual or high-risk customer activity, identify emerging risks, and support informed decision-making that meets regulatory obligations.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in financial crime, risk, AML/CTF, fraud, investigations or compliance who enjoy problem-solving, analysing complex information, influencing stakeholders, and driving risk outcomes. Depending on your level of experience, you will have the opportunity to lead complex investigations, mentor others, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the function.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate high-risk customers, complex cases, and potential financial crime activity.
- Analyse customer information, transaction activity, behavioural patterns and risk indicators using enhanced due diligence techniques.
- Identify financial crime red flags, suspicious activity, and emerging risk trends, providing timely escalation where required.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based investigation reports and deliver risk-based recommendations to support customer risk decisions.
- Partner with Financial Crime, Compliance, Operations and Business stakeholders to manage risk and strengthen customer outcomes.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, uplift risk controls, and support the ongoing enhancement of financial crime frameworks and practices.
- For senior-level candidates, provide guidance on complex investigations, support capability uplift within the team, and drive improvements to risk management practices.
What Do I Need?
We're looking for curious, analytical and adaptable professionals who can assess risk, make sound decisions and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in financial crime, AML/CTF, fraud, investigations, risk management, compliance or related disciplines.
- Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex information and identify key risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to make balanced, evidence-based decisions and provide practical risk recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience leading complex investigations, coaching others or driving risk improvement initiatives will be highly regarded for Senior Risk Analyst applicants.
