As part of this journey, we're looking for an exceptional Release Train Delivery Lead - Operations to lead a critical delivery stream and help deliver one of the organisation's most significant transformation initiatives.
What's the role?
Reporting to the Head of UNITE Delivery, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of outcomes that ensure our operational teams are prepared, capable and ready to support the implementation of significant business and technology change.
This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for driving delivery across a complex portfolio of work while influencing strategic outcomes through executive and governance forums.
As a highly visible member of the programme leadership team, you will regularly engage with executive stakeholders and governance forums, influencing critical decisions and helping deliver one of the organisation's most significant transformation initiatives.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Managing financial planning, forecasting and budget oversight across significant investment portfolios.
- Building strong partnerships across Product, Technology, Risk, Finance and Operations.
- Leading workforce and resource planning activities across the Release Train.
- Leading and inspiring a team of Delivery Leads, Programme Managers and Project Managers.
- Ensuring delivery and operational readiness activities are completed to support customer migration events.
- Providing clear reporting, insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders and governance forums.
- Driving delivery consistency, risk management and governance excellence across the programme.
What do I need?
You’re a proven transformation leader who thrives in complex, high-profile environments and has a track record of delivering large-scale strategic change. You will bring extensive experience leading major transformation, migration, simplification, integration or divestment programmes, coupled with the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence senior stakeholders and deliver outcomes across complex enterprise environments.
Success in this role requires a leader who can balance commercial discipline with exceptional people leadership. You'll be comfortable operating autonomously while building trusted relationships across the organisation, leading large delivery teams and maintaining momentum in a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex programmes valued at approximately $50M+.
- Strong understanding of Operations functions and large-scale operational change.
- Exceptional leadership experience managing Programme Managers, Project Managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, including financial management, forecasting and governance oversight.
- Ability to build credibility and influence with senior stakeholders across complex organisational environments.
- Experience fostering high-performing, engaged and diverse teams.
- Resilient, disciplined and outcome-focused, with the ability to lead confidently through complexity and change.
