Summary: The performance of secondary operations on component parts to affect the completion of the finished products. To accomplish these tasks within the company’s guidelines and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the FABRICATOR is to safely and efficiently perform top-quality operational duties on a daily basis which include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Responsible for the completion of all secondary operations such as tapping, gluing, trimming, twisting and greasing of components to complete fabrication of production orders.
  • Must be able to recognize the proper components for any given assembly and judge the acceptability of quality
  • Must meet the time and quantity standards set by supervision for all jobs
  • Maintain Clean work area daily
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures while performing operational tasks.
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications: None

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions. Write Legibly.

Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills and counting ability required.

Reasoning Ability: Able to remember part numbers and the assembly they belong to. Able to record daily production information. Must be mentally alert, safety conscious, communicate well, and receive and follow instructions. Able to work well with others, able to function in a limited work area, able to change work assignments with little notice, must perform duties in accordance with company policies and safety standards.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds to a height of 3 feet. Able to use both arms and hands, able to stand for long periods while working. Able to use hand tools – cutters, knives, screwdrivers and tape applicators. Automatic machinery – tappers, sanders, mill, lathe and cut off saw (machines require only that the work piece be placed in the proper spot, in the correct manner and removed after the machine has performed the needed operation).
