The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

Reporting to the Head, Communications and Marketing (District), you will be responsible for:

1. Social Media Strategy and Campaign Planning

  • formulating and implementing social media strategies for Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas markets to support the marketing, branding and promotion of the West Kowloon Cultural District;
  • developing integrated social media initiatives, campaign plans and content calendars in collaboration with Corporate Affairs, District Marketing and relevant business units; and
  • leading the planning and execution of district-wide social media campaigns and promotional activities to maximise audience reach, engagement and brand awareness.

2. Social Media Content and Channel Management

  • serving as the editorial gatekeeper and content manager for WestK’s district-level social media platforms, ensuring content quality, consistency and alignment with brand priorities;
  • managing and optimising WestK’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Xiaohongshu (RedNote), WeChat and Douyin;
  • adapting content for different platforms and audience segments, including timely short-form video content where required; and
  • working with marketing and promotions teams across WestK’s business units to identify storytelling opportunities and strengthen synergies between venues, programmes and campaigns.

3. Partnerships, Performance Marketing and Insights

  • establishing and managing KOL, influencer and content partnership strategies to extend campaign reach and engagement;
  • developing and executing digital performance marketing initiatives, including working with external agencies where appropriate, to support marketing objectives;
  • monitoring digital and social media trends, platform developments and audience behaviours to inform district-level recommendations; and
  • translating social media insights and analytics into actionable plans to improve engagement, brand awareness and campaign performance.


Performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree, preferably in Marketing, Social Media, Communications or related disciplines;
  • have at least 6 years of relevant experience in marketing, preferably in digital marketing, social media or related fields;
  • have a proven track record in managing social media channels, online media placement, influencer/KOL partnerships and multi-stakeholder social media campaigns;
  • have experience in working with third-party agencies on performance marketing initiatives;
  • have experience in team management, preferably gained in a fast-paced marketing or communications environment;
  • be independent, detail-minded, outcome-oriented and able to exercise sound judgement with strong problem-solving skills;
  • be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines; and
  • possess excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Stretching across 40 hectares of reclaimed land, WestK is one of the largest cultural projects in the world, blending art, education and open space.

Its vision is to create a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong where the local arts scene can interact, develop and collaborate. Providing 23 hectares of public open space with two kilometres of vibrant harbour-front promenade it will also include a variety of arts and cultural facilities that will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and arts and cultural events.

A Development Plan for the District, based on well-received Foster + Partner’s Conceptual Plan, was approved by the Chief Executive-in-Council in January 2013. Overlooking the magnificent Victoria Harbour, the District will begin to take shape over the next decade.

By developing this sizable project in phases we can start to bring the district to life. The Xiqu Centre, Freespace, Art Park, M+, Hong Kong Palace Museum and Lyric Theatre Complex, will be developed as a first batch of facilities aiming for opening to the public.

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is a statutory body responsible for developing the West Kowloon Cultural District. Led by the Board and an executive team comprising experts from different sectors, our vision is to build a vibrant cultural quarter for the city, dedicated to bringing together local and international artists and audiences to be inspired and to celebrate the arts.
