About the role:

As an Electrical Engineer you will perform Design activities following the design process. You will develop to be responsible for all phases of a design project. This will include cost estimating, functional/design specifications, detailed design with calculations to support, tooling concepts, holding design reviews, final manufacturing drawings, following fabrication, assembly and tooling qualification, training of personnel, maintenance and operating procedures, and first field implementation of new tooling.

 

You will report to the Sr Manager of Inspection Technology and be located at our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. You will be expected to travel up to 20% of the time. When not on travel, you will be expected onsite 5 days per week.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical engineering design evaluations and analysis. Specify components for use in systems.
  • Create and revise procedures to support design or field activities.
  • Support troubleshooting repair and functional testing of electro/mechanical robotic equipment.
  • Interface with vendors and other internal functional groups on engineering level work to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in processes/equipment on continuing basis and help with implementation.
  • Support field implementation and troubleshooting of equipment used for inspections at nuclear plant sites.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Technical aptitude required
  • Ability to use oscilloscopes to troubleshoot issues and read and create electrical schematics
  • Able to solder components from cable assemblies down to board level
  • Travel up to 20% of the time
  • Obtain and maintain unescorted access in a commercial nuclear power facility.
  • Standing/sitting for long periods of time, able to lift 50 pounds, able to climb steps and ladders, able to work in industrial environment.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200.00 to $86,500.00 per year.
