Job Responsibilities
- Produces and assures quality of parts (utilizing necessary measuring gages and equipment) and machine parts on machines.
- Disassemble and assemble and requalify components by utilizing hand and power tools according to product specification assigned. Adheres to standard operating process.
- Inspect and do documentation of work completed on components to internal inspection criteria for compliance to quality or engineering requirements.
- Demonstrates awareness of safety requirements in assigned work areas and wears appropriate PPE for assigned work. Contributes to continuous improvement of safety culture in work areas.
- Participate in environmentally appropriate workplace maintenance habits, including 5S.
- Accepts training and coaching from supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
• 1-3 years experiences in machining or assembling dismantling components.
• This position requires accuracy and responsibility as many duties must be performed without close supervision.
• Training and/or experience using measuring equipment and reading drawings is needed.
• Diploma in Mechanical engineering / Production or Equitant.
• Must be able to perform shop math calculations and read and interpret blueprints and work orders
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and work orders.
• Ready to work in shifts, overtime and weekends.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with others to meet production demands.
• Performs varied machining operations largely on standard work having close tolerance and finish specifications.
• Sets up, adjusts, and operates standard and special types of machine tools.
• Working knowledge of cutting tools and materials.
• Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues that may arise and create solutions.
• Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement change in process and procedures as needed.
