Who will you be working with?
You will join the Indirect Sourcing Team, a group focused on collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering the best cost-effective solutions to internal customers. By working with multiple functions and supporting different business segments, you will have the opportunity to develop both commercial and technical skills while gaining exposure to strategic procurement activities.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Indirect Sourcing Team, you will support procurement activities focused on indirect materials and services, helping to ensure the best balance of cost, quality, and delivery for Wabtec's operations. You will contribute to supplier management, sourcing initiatives, and process improvements while partnering with stakeholders across the business.
This role offers the opportunity to build strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills while supporting the company's growth and operational excellence.
What do we want to know about you?
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Engineering, or related fields
- Expected graduation at least 1.5 to 2 years after the internship start date
- Intermediate to Fluent English
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, including Intermediate/Advanced Excel
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
- Interest in innovation and continuous learning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

What will your typical day look like?
You will work in a collaborative environment focused on supporting indirect procurement processes across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and execute indirect procurement initiatives
- Request and analyze quotations from suppliers
- Create purchase orders and follow up on deliveries when necessary
- Prepare, issue, and evaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
- Support negotiations related to pricing, quality, delivery, and commercial terms with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Develop recurring reports for management regarding indirect procurement activities
- Collaborate with suppliers and Wabtec teams to ensure purchasing processes are completed on time
- Support integration and planning activities with internal customers
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives

The Company's segments include the Freight Segment and the Transit Segment.
