Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform trailer sanitation to ensure equipment meets company cleanliness standards.
  • Safely and efficiently move equipment throughout the yard.
  • Report facility maintenance issues and major repair needs to management.
  • Store equipment in designated locations while maintaining an organized yard.
  • Conduct routine inspections of incoming and outgoing equipment.
  • Perform inventory audits to maintain accurate equipment records.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility and yard environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment and maintain awareness of surroundings.

Western Express, Inc. is an asset-based truckload carrier headquartered in Nashville, TN with terminals and facilities throughout the United States. Our company was founded in 1991 by Wayne and Donna Wise. After the passing of Wayne Wise in 2010, the future of the company was placed in the hands of the existing management team. In 2019, Western Express was able to provide the opportunity for the Wise family to redeem most of their shares. They will maintain a minority shareholder position. The current management team now owns the majority interest.

Western Express has grown to become a large tier industry truckload carrier running one of the newest fleets in the industry. Our fleet of over 2800 power units and over 6500 trailers are 100% GPS trackable. We are a service focused company.
