West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Division at Manning Forest Products is currently recruiting for a Journeyperson Electrician.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be a key player in the company-wide continuous improvement effort by using troubleshooting, predictive, and preventive maintenance strategies daily.
You'll Do:
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Ensure consistent operations of all electrical equipment in the sawmill
- Verify and document repairs
- Monitor product quality and provide feedback
- Use of RsLogix programing software (5,500,5000)
- Preventative maintenance and small construction projects
- Troubleshooting for various pieces of equipment, with other trades
- Shift is 7 days on/7 days off: rotating day shift and night shift
You have:
- Several years of experience as an Electrician
- A valid Journeyperson Certification is required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- An understanding of Process Controls and Instrumentation, including but not limited to electric over pneumatic, or hydraulic
- 4th year Apprentices are encouraged to apply
Considered a strong asset:
- Previous experience working in a sawmill or an industrial environment
