Transportation Analyst
About this role
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams and external partners to resolve transportation-related inquiries
- Coordinate and execute transportation solutions for both daily shipments and project-based needs
- Monitor and analyze mode-specific performance metrics (cost, service levels, on-time delivery, claims) and identify improvement opportunities
- Analyze service or cost issues and recommend corrective actions
- Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and dashboards
- Support transportation and supply chain initiatives through data analysis and project participation
- Participate in LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of national transportation programs
- Support carrier performance tracking and contribute to ongoing optimization of the transportation network
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- 2 years of transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact across all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, reporting)
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), SharePoint, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
