This entry level position will assist in the development, deployment and maintenance of configuration management programs supporting applications and configurations of Restaurant Point of Sale systems. Leveraging strong communication skills this position will collaborate cross functionally identifying needs then developing a technical solution and documentation which exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software ensuring high system availability while following industry best practices.
  • Works independently with moderate supervision. Seeks guidance in more complex technical situations. Escalates unresolved issues appropriately.
  • Contributes to the development of processes for monitoring performance and problem determination of developed systems or services and takes corrective actions when necessary, in accordance with established IT processes.
  • Develops detailed technical writing with estimated tasks. Monitor progress of project and creates status updates to management. Adheres to all IT methodology standards.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to other Information Technology staff members in the usage of systems for which he/she has responsibility.
  • Mentor new developers and oversee development efforts of lower-level teammates (following standards, reviewing submitted documentation, PCI adherence).

Minimum Wage

USD $74,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Wage

USD $126,000.00/Yr.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science or 4+ years of relevant experience 
  • 2+ years’ experience in system design and development, which can include use of Powershell / Ruby / BASH scripting. Note: This role will heavily utilize Puppet Query Language, which utilizes RUBY backend.
  • Knowledge of Log Aggregation tools (Splunk, Looker, Elk ect)
  • A strong desire to learn and be curiosity-driven.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

Expected Work Location (Remote): It is expected that you will primarily perform work remotely. You may be asked to travel, as needed, to the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or to other location(s) as designated by the Company. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Remote

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
