Project Details
- Rate: $60 USD / hour
- Location & Language: Remote in Japan, fluent in Japanese
- Engagement type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
- Status: Building talent pipeline for upcoming project — not an immediate start
Who we're looking for
We want people with real depth, not surface familiarity:
- A completed PhD (or ABD near completion) in one of the following fields:
- Social & Behavioral Science (psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science, economics, etc.)
- Humanities (history, philosophy, religious studies, area studies, etc.)
- Arts (art history, performance studies, music, media & cultural studies, etc.)
- Language & Linguistics (Japanese language, translation studies, applied linguistics, literature, etc.)
- Native or professional fluency in Japanese
- Strong written communication skills — you can explain complex ideas clearly
- Comfort working independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment
What the work will look like
Once the project confirms, selected experts will help train and evaluate AI models by:
- Writing, reviewing, and grading responses in your area of expertise
- Assessing AI outputs for accuracy, reasoning, and nuance
- Providing structured feedback that improves model quality
- Applying doctoral-level judgment to real-world, subject-specific tasks
