Operations Manager
About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Associate Manager. The role is responsible for activities that support the operational infrastructure, performance, and efficiency.
Supervises day-to-day operations for an operational unit and/ or staff supporting international businesses, products, and systems Provides training, performance evaluation, and coaching. Implement processes to maximize efficiency of operations.
Manages the daily operation of processing team and liaises and develops a strong connection with other internal functions to provide timely responses to local and offshore customers and manages difficult cases.
Also duties will include Implementing new Operating/ Control policies, legal and regulatory requirement; Safeguards the Bank free from Operating risks and review the control check-point at each processing workflow; Streamlines daily processing workflow, revises and updates the procedure manuals and prepares reports accurately on a timely basis and lead any projects as required.
Reviews of data and reports on trends for management. The team member will also be responsible for liaising and interacting with international working partners.
Sound knowledge of International Funds Transfer / SWIFT payments necessary.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop one or more specialized customer service and operations functional teams within Operations area with complex and risk in functional area
- Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
- Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
- Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalate issues to more experienced management
- Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
- Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- University degree in Business, Commerce, or any other discipline
- Extensive experience in banking operations.
- Experience in payment processing. Knowledge in the following: International Funds Transfer, SWIFT, Federal Reserve Wire Transfer Payments, Foreign Exchange Payments
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Sound risk management mindset
- Knowledge on Message types of SWIFTS, FED WIRE, CHIPS
- Fluent in both verbal and written communication skills
- Proven management skills with ability to analyze issues and provide solutions in a tactful manner
- Ability to work independently and provide support on flexible hours/working days
- Demonstrated leadership and people skills
- Well organized, initiative-taking, constructive and capable of motivating teamwork
- Transition/Process migration experience in a shared service environment

- Flexible in working in any shift
Must be amenable to working on-site in BGC, Taguig City
