ABOUT THE ROLE
The purpose of the Customer Service Master Data Senior Specialist role is to deliver best-in-class service to United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI) Business Unit (BU) through timely, top-quality, efficient, and customer-oriented management of material, customer, and pricing master data, used in the local Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Reporting processes.
You will join the Master Data (MD) Team, who believes that when data is well-defined, efficiently created, correct, available, and trustworthy, it can power the growth of the Company. We strive to be the center of excellence around data for the major Wella global and local business functions: Supply Chain, Customer Service, Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance and Procurement. We operate in three main areas: regular data operations, project management, and data governance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintain and control material, customer and pricing master data in SAP ERP as instructed by the local BU and established procedures, keeping on target the key performance metrics (quality, speed, compliance).
- Prepare data reports and analyses using SAP ERP, MS Excel and other internal tools, and share them as requested with the local BU and the MD Leadership.
- Perform root-cause analysis of data quality defects and propose and implement actions that correct the data and prevent defect recurrence.
- Challenge existing work processes and propose and implement improvements (with Team Leader’s support as needed).
- Contribute to the regular connects with your team and the local BU by providing requested information, sharing ideas, and proactively report MD-related business risks.
- Create, review, and update internal documentation that contains standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Obtain, store, and deliver information for audit purposes.
- Train less experienced team members and local BU requestors on master data processes in your scope of work.
- Support MD Project Management team in the delivery of business projects by sharing detailed information on master data processes in your scope of work.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG
- Min. 1 year of working experience in data management, supply chain, finance, customer service or IT
- Practical knowledge of SAP ERP or other data management systems
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Ability to conduct data analyses with attention to detail, and to present conclusions in a logical, informative way
- Ownership, autonomy, and accountability for results within the given scope
- Growth mindset, with focus on solutions, improvements, and constant learning
- Priority-setting skills and efficient work organization in a dynamic business environment
- Resilience to frequent changes in the supply chain
- Ability to think and understand quickly, and to adjust plans and actions to the changing circumstances
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team towards a common objective
- Good practical knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel
