The role…

Regularly set-up and operate complex machines to produce a wide variety of products with minimal direct supervision.

 

How you’ll make an impact…

  • Safely mix and handle resins, glues, catalysts, acetone, and other chemicals while complying with hazardous waste, air emissions, and all environmental, health, and safety regulations, including required RCRA training and hazardous waste labeling.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for the laminating process by accurately measuring, inspecting, and setting up press carts, curtain coaters, glue pumps, and related equipment.
  • Operate laminating equipment, including the curtain coater, stacker, laminating press, and vacuum lift, ensuring proper sheet alignment and efficient production.
  • Perform quality inspections by measuring product dimensions, checking material specifications, and verifying all products meet established tolerances before forwarding work.
  • Clean and maintain laminating equipment after each production run to prevent contamination, equipment damage, and glue buildup while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Report equipment damage, process issues, and nonconforming materials promptly, while supporting corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and the authority to stop or adjust processes that are not meeting quality standards.
  • Support production schedules by working required shifts, producing and shipping quality products on time, and ensuring all work meets customer, business, and quality requirements.

 

What do you bring…

  • High School/Trade School Diploma Required.
  • Two years as an Assemblies Finisher or comparable experience.
  • Must be able to read complicated blueprints, implement shop-oriented mathematics and basic geometric calculations and have the ability to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to interpret quality information and ISO documentation.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements in accordance with the Essential Function Job Analysis.
