About the Role
Seeking a senior marketing leader to fully own the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and execution. This role reports directly to the founder and is responsible for positioning, pipeline, brand, and building the marketing function for a US-centric motion. The ideal candidate will scale an existing demand engine and product, providing the senior strategic voice and operational leadership to tie it all together.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the website, brand narrative, and messaging, either hands-on or through a managed team.
- Manage the full sales enablement loop, including win/loss analysis, competitive collateral, and hands-on training for sales teams.
- Develop and manage all marketing collateral, such as one-pagers, demo decks, case studies, and battle cards.
- Oversee the organic pipeline channel end-to-end, including SEO/AEO strategy, keyword research, and optimization.
- Lead and manage a team of content marketers, writers, SMEs, and supporting agencies/interns.
- Manage social channels, founder branding, and brand campaigns to create company buzz and distribution.
- Evaluate, stand up, and own the Performance Marketing function if chosen.
- Hire, manage, and grow the marketing team, deciding on in-house vs. agency/contractor relationships.
- Own a pipeline or revenue target across marketing-sourced channels.
- Build reporting and forecasting to track channel performance and reallocate spend.
- Develop and execute Go-to-Market strategies for product and feature launches, optimizing for win rates and revenue.
- Serve as the primary marketing partner to the founder, providing regular updates, insights, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, including 2-4 years in US SaaS.
- Proven track record of scaling a company from approximately $1M to $10M+ ARR.
- Directly reported (1:1) to a Founder or Head of Marketing in a past role.
- Directly owned pipeline targets across at least 3 of 5 marketing channels (product marketing, content/organic, brand/social, performance, field).
- Strong track record building and managing teams, verifiable through network and hiring history.
- Strong Product Marketing (PMM) background.
- Proven track record owning positioning, messaging, and sales enablement that moved pipeline.
- Built or scaled at least one channel (organic/SEO, social/founder brand, brand/events, or analyst relations).
- Experience hiring and managing a team, including a mix of in-house hires and external agencies/contractors.
- Experience marketing to US buyers.
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and representing the company externally.
- Good to have: Early-stage (1→10) experience, including building a team from a small base.
- Good to have: Experience marketing to CFO, Controller, or finance personas.
