Weaver is looking for talented US Tax professionals at the Associate level candidates to join our growing firm!

The Candidate should be a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. As this role is provisions-focused, the candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter and understand that the busy season for work often differs from a typical tax busy season.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • A minimum of 3 or more years of experience in US Corporate tax.
  • Proficient in CCH Axcess, Prosystem Fx Engagement, Gofile room.
  • Experience in Preparing federal tax returns – Partnership or Corporate returns (Form 1065, Form 1120).
  • Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Willing to work in the office with team members and managers.
  • Problem solving skills and able to work independently successfully.
  • Able to work flexible hours when key client or team meetings are needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
  • Master’s degree in accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • EA, CPA, CPA candidate, CA or CA candidate, CMA or CMA candidate.
  • Knowledge/experience of Real Estate industry along with knowledge in Tax Journal entries & knowledge Tax adjustments.
  • Strong knowledge of excel and formula usage wherever applicable.
  • Experience with tax research software tools, such as Checkpoint, or CCH.
  • Experience in Preparing State tax returns.
