Job Overview

The R&M Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and operational readiness of Weatherford equipment. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation within the system, ensuring timely and safe completion of all loadouts, and verifying that all equipment complies with Weatherford and customer specifications while delivering the highest standards of quality. 

Responsibilities

  • Follow and perform all HSE and Quality requirement in the shop floor.
  • Perform all servicing, assembly, and testing the Weatherford and/or third-party equipment in accordance with Weatherford requirement.
  • Maintain clear and concise records of all maintenance undertaken to ensure trace ability of work carried out on the tools from start to finish.
  • Report to R&M Supervisor to ensure the workload is prioritized and completed in timely manner.
  • Ensure good 5S practices are implemented in the workplace. Identify potential hazards and monitor the condition of hand tools & machinery, communicating any discrepancies to the R&M Supervisor.
  • Ensure the team member are trained accordingly to fulfil their roles to Weatherford Standards.
  • Actively leads Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and R&M specific procedures.
  • Leads the Permit to Work process.
  • Actively participate in location specific safety meetings.
  • Complete training required to become Qualified Competency Assessor and performs competency assessments on junior personnel when required.
  • Any other duty assigned by R&M Sup / Manager.

 

Skills

  • Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics knowledge (Depends on Assignment).  
  • Fundamentals of knowledges and experience in applying 5S Principle.
  • Proficient reading and writing skills, strong judgment, and decision-making to be in line with policies & procedures.
  • Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others. 
  • Willing to work in harsh environment such as in the workshop and open yard. 
  • Experience in handling the maintenance of heavy equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related experience in leading the repair and maintenance / manufacturing team. 
  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering Diploma / Degree.
