About this role
Overview
We're looking for a sales leader who knows how to win at Home Depot, Lowe's, and other major home improvement and mass retail accounts. As Director of Sales, you'll own the strategy and relationships that drive revenue, distribution, and profitable growth across our biggest retail partnerships with real influence over commercial planning, trade investment, and how our brand shows up on the shelf.
This role is ideal for a proven CPG sales leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, earns trust with key accounts, and turns strategy into sustainable growth.
This remote role is U.S. based, with a preference for candidates located in or near Atlanta. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and should not require sponsorship now or in the future to legally work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Set and drive the sales strategy for our largest retail partners, with a primary focus on home improvement and big-box national accounts
- Build direct, trusted relationships with buyers, category managers, and merchandising teams at retailers like Home Depot and Lowe's
- Lead commercial planning, trade investment, and promotional strategy to grow sales while protecting margin and ROI
- Own annual business plans, forecasts, budgets, and POS/KPI reporting using data to guide decisions and unlock new distribution
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to bring account strategies to life
- Coach and develop Strategic Account Managers with a servant-leadership approach, removing roadblocks, building capability, and driving accountability
- Lead national sales meetings and training that strengthen the commercial organization
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and with retail partners, staying ahead of category and market trends
- Manage trade and operating budgets in compliance with company policy and SOX requirements
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive brand sales experience, including 7–10 years leading strategic planning and execution
- Proven track record calling on big-box, home improvement, or mass retail accounts (Home Depot, Lowe's, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience building and developing high-performing sales teams
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing required; MBA a plus
- Ability to travel up to 30%, dependent on home location
