As Maintenance Technician, you will perform a wide variety of duties to repair and maintain production equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications.
Essential Functions
Troubleshoot equipment to locate cause of issue.
Dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts.
Examine form and texture of part to detect imperfections.
Inspect used part to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Repair and replace defective parts.
All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or any other related certifications or training is a plus.
Possess good mechanical knowledge and abilities to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Knowledge of shop tools, equipment and maintenance practices.
Must be flexible and able to work individually and in a team-based environment.
Able to work overtime as needed and be available for on-call work.
Good communication skills to work with plant personnel, vendors and other maintenance individuals.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from floor to waist and waist to shoulder height.
Able to work in static positions for more than 15 minutes and work in tight spaces in and around machinery. Able to climb stairs and ladders.
Must be able to handle frequent bending, twisting, crouching, squatting and kneeling.
Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Required to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment.
May require specific vision abilities that include close vision.
May be required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.
May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.
May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.
Working in different temperatures (heat and cold).
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
