About this role

What You'll Be Doing

The Wake House Visitation Center Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and coordination of the Supervised Visitation Center, ensuring that visitation services are delivered in a safe, structured, family-centered, and supportive environment. This position provides direct supervision to part-time visitation center staff and works closely with the Transportation Supervisor and other team members to ensure visitation and transportation services are coordinated effectively.

In addition to supporting the daily operations of visitation services, the Supervisor will work collaboratively with Visitation Center leadership, staff, and community partners to support and expand a comprehensive visitation center model that extends beyond supervised visitation.

The Supervisor will assist in developing and strengthening community partnerships that bring supportive services, resources, programs, and family-centered activities directly into the visitation center. In collaboration with the supervisory team, the Supervisor will support the integration of these partnerships and resources into visitation center operations.

This collaborative approach will help maintain a welcoming, resource-rich environment that strengthens families, promotes positive parent-child interactions, and connects families with services that support stability, well-being, and successful permanency outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visitation Center Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the Supervised Visitation Center and ensure visits are conducted safely, consistently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Staff Supervision: Provide day-to-day supervision, scheduling, guidance, and support to part-time visitation center staff to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality service delivery
  • Transportation Coordination: Work closely with the Transportation Supervisor to coordinate transportation and visitation schedules, address service needs, and ensure families and children are able to access scheduled visits
  • Family Visitation Center Passes: Oversee and coordinate the Family Visitation Center Pass process, including appropriate documentation, tracking, communication, and utilization of the visitation center
  • Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, nonprofits, service providers, faith-based organizations, and other partners to expand the resources and supportive services available to children and families utilizing the center
  • Comprehensive Visitation Services: Identify opportunities for community partners to provide programs, educational opportunities, family activities, workshops, resources, and other supportive services at the visitation center
  • Community Programs and Resources: Oversee and coordinate visitation center support programs, including the Visitation Center Resource Closet, Family Resource Pantry, and other family-focused initiatives that provide children and families with access to essential items, resources, and supportive services
  • Weekend On-Call Coverage: Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule to provide supervisory support and coverage for visitation and transportation services, including responding to operational needs, addressing service-related concerns, and supporting staff as needed
  • Program Development: Assist with developing new programs, activities, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen the visitation experience and help establish the center as a comprehensive family support resource
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and maintain effective communication with visitation staff, transportation staff, social workers, community partners, and other stakeholders
  • Quality Assurance and Reporting: Monitor visitation center activities, maintain appropriate records, track program participation and service utilization, and identify opportunities for continuous program improvement
