We are hiring for Field Operations Manager.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the continuity, sustainability, and operational success of the business by centrally coordinating all field activities and fostering strong relationships with growers and key stakeholders. Through effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management, the Field Operations Manager will contribute to improved seed reliability, enhanced operational efficiency, and the achievement of business growth objectives.

Your Challenge:

  • Leads improvement programs and initiatives for a production, maintenance and/or other manufacturing service area.
  • Provides leadership and direction for the area.
  • Ensures continuous and efficient production in desired quantity and quality, and/or effectively manages daily maintenance work and shutdowns.
  • Interfaces with business leadership and supply chain for coordination of schedules and understanding of customer needs.
  • Accountable for establishing and meeting fixed and variable cost objectives.
  • Sets expectations for adherence to policies and procedures and safety standards.
  • Manages production and/or maintenance areas and/or manufacturing services/functions.
  • Responsible for the operation and/or maintenance of, in general, lower hazard processes and/or single processes.
  • Manages quality, cost, resources and schedules.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Agribusiness, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in agricultural production, seed production, field operations, manufacturing operations, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience leading field teams, production teams, contractors, or seasonal workforces.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, resources, production schedules, and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards within an agricultural or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with growers, farmers, suppliers, contractors, or external stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of production planning and operational execution.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively to field locations.
  • Team leadership, collaboration and development.
  • Operational excellence, technology utilization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
