CCTV Tap Cutter Operator
About this role
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize remote cameras and CCTV equipment to videotape inside sewer lines for inspections.
- Determine whether cleaning and/or repairs are needed.
- Reinstatement of service laterals after rehabilitation (cutting taps) when needed.
- Service, adjust, and perform minor repairs to cameras and equipment as needed/directed.
- Assists in CIPP liner installations as needed.
- Set up CIPP equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Tap Cutter or TV Tech in the CIPP industry required. Schwalm experience is very beneficial.
- Solid understanding and knowledge of standard field pipe rehabilitation installation procedures.
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing consistent with company standards and be able to pass a DOT physical to operate company vehicle when necessary. Strongly prefer CDL.
- Must be accurate, detailed, reliable, and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
- Must have ability to be proactive and troubleshoot.
- Ability to complete applicable reports, records, and related administrative tasks.
- PACP/MACP/LACP certifications are a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to enter confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs.
- Able to work in various weather conditions.
- Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
