About the Stirling Health Centre

Located approximately 45km South of Perth on Garden Island, HMAS Stirling provides operational and logistics support to the RAN ships, submarines and aircraft based in WA. The base is home to RAN Submarine Training & Systems Centre, Training Centre West complex, Defence Communications Station Perth, and is a trials/research & support facility.  Health Centre services include primary medical, underwater medicine, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy, dental and pharmaceutical services.  Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).

 

What you’ll do

  • Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals
  • Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care

 

What you bring

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum one year Registered Nurse experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting
  • Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
  • Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
  • Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care
