Digital Content Manager

Emirates Loves · Dubai, UAE · Full-time · On-site

About Emirates Loves

Emirates Loves is a growing network of community platforms celebrating the friendship between the UAE and nations around the world. Alongside our social communities, we create and produce large-scale cultural events across the UAE.

Our website is where the stories behind those events live: what's coming up, what's happening now, and what just happened.

The Role

We're looking for a Digital Content Manager to own the Emirates Loves website end to end — administering and maintaining the site, and writing the news and event coverage published on it.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable in a CMS and in a blank document. You'll be the single point of ownership for how Emirates Loves shows up online outside of social media.

What You'll Do

  • Own the day-to-day administration, upkeep, and publishing workflow of the Emirates Loves website
  • Write and publish news articles, event announcements, previews, and post-event coverage
  • Build and maintain event landing pages ahead of each activation, coordinating with the events and marketing teams on schedules, visuals, and registration links
  • Keep the homepage and news feed current — including live updates on event days
  • Source, edit, and optimise photography, video, and copy from our events and community pages
  • Plan, write, and send regular newsletters and email marketing campaigns to our community, partners, and past attendees
  • Maintain a content calendar aligned to the event schedule across all Emirates Loves pages
  • Ensure every piece of content is accurate, on-brand, and appropriate for a UAE cultural and government-facing audience
  • Handle on-page SEO, metadata, page speed, and accessibility basics
  • Coordinate with designers and developers on site improvements and new sections
  • Track traffic and engagement, and use those insights to shape what we publish

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years in web content management, digital editorial, online journalism, or a similar role
  • Excellent written English; professional Arabic strongly preferred — bilingual content is core to what we do
  • Hands-on experience with a CMS
  • A real news instinct: the ability to turn an event into a clear, accurate story quickly
  • Strong organisation and the ability to work to event deadlines, including occasional evenings and weekends around event days
  • Working knowledge of SEO and web analytics (Google Analytics / Search Console)
  • Basic image and video editing (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

Nice to have: familiarity with the UAE media and cultural landscape, experience covering live events, newsletter or social-first content experience, and a portfolio of published writing.

Requirements:

Strong experience with WordPress development
Good design sense and ability to create modern UI layouts
Experience with custom dashboard development
Experience building or managing event organization/booking systems
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress best practices
Familiarity with responsive design and UX principles
* Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions
