YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)

The painter is responsible for painting, plastering, and wallpapering public areas to ensure a clean, safe, and presentable facility for guests and team members. We expect you to communicate, coordinate and work well with other teammates, managers and guests. Most of all, we want you to have FUN since you will play a huge role in creating that memorable guest experience!

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties)

In helping you understand your role in working for a progressive, environment conscious, world class organization, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities. Please keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your supervisors/managers not listed below in the constant quest to provide extraordinary customer service experience for our guests:

• Maintains (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis
• Keep the hotel décor in good condition
• Clean all work areas after completing job
• Must be a self-motivated individual, that works independently with minimal supervision and consistently demonstrates ownership and accountability in a proactive approach for completing tasks.

WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

• Must have ability to communicate effectively and courteously with employees, guests and contractors in writing, via telephone and in person

MUST HAVE'S

• Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial painter
• Ability to communicate in English clearly and pleasantly with guests, management/co-workers, both in person and on the telephone

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

• Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to basic hand tools, sanders, commercial paint sprayers, texture guns, rollers and required PPE.
• Must have upper body strength to lift 75lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift. Must have leg strength and ability to climb ladders, support and carry loads.
• This position occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather conditions. Proper clothing is provided
• Inspect and maintain areas for which are responsible
• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation
• Effectively and efficiently move around work areas
