YOUR MISSION (The Job Description)
The Busser/Runner will support the food and beverage operation of the outlet through timely bussing and resetting of tables, running food and beverages, and engaging in polite, responsive, and timely interaction with guests and coworkers. They provide a high level of customer service to all guests and always perform customer service duties in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that customers have an enjoyable dining experience.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, washing and polishing glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
- Strong knowledge and consistent use of SNHD regulations and standards
- Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
- Participate in seamless operation between BOH + FOH staff members, ensuring proper service to our guests
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Running food and drinks
- Clear tables, carry plates to the dishwashing area
- Assist guests with re-ordering at their table, including guiding them to use the online ordering system and assisting with menu questions or queries
- Deliver/ distribute takeout orders to customers at the outlet
- Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.
- Explain basic details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests
- Always keep your active SNHD Food Handler's card with you while on the property
- Execute proper health and safety protocols while operating equipment, handling food, storing food, maintaining temperature & time control logs, and sanitizing as dictated by the SNHD
- Report health and safety incidents and concerns directly to leadership in an accurate and timely manner
- Contribute to successful SNHD health inspections
- Monitor and ensure cleanliness of all place settings, tabletops, seats, and floor
- Perform customer service duties as assigned
- Communicate with cashier and supervisor for any guest service issues
- Actively participate in all scheduled required training sessions
- Must be physically present at work, in assigned workstation, in order to perform all functions required of the position
- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume
- Always communicate effectively with customers and all levels of employees
- Review and comprehend all necessary documentation
- Use the equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to the POS system
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
- High school or equivalent education required
- Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- 1-2 years' experience in a restaurant or food outlet
- Lift and carry 50 lbs., carry and balance plates, carry kegs, wine and beer cases as necessary
- Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
- Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties
- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, sound, illumination, smoke, air quality, and pet hair/dander
- Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken. This position occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather
