Job Summary

The Bowling Center Staff Lead is responsible for working closely with manager/assistant manager of Bowling Center on the day-to day operations of the Bowling Center, ensuring staff perform job duties that are assigned, reviewing work assignment, providing on-the job training, and performing the essential duties of Bowling Staff position.

Job Description

• Works closely with manager/assistant manager of Bowling Center to assist with day-to-day operation of the Bowling Center, including coordinating tasks and reviewing work. • Provides on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring of team members. • Resolves problems or refers matter to supervisor/manager; makes independent decisions in absence of manager/assistant manager. • Responsible for opening and or closing of bowling center during assigned shift. • Performs the duties of the bowling center staff including, entering orders into InfoGenesis POS system and performing cash-handling procedures; verifying cash drawers, counting down cashiers at the end of shift, banking and daily deposits; overseeing the registration desk, making bowling reservations, lane assignments, bowling shoe rental, and kitchen coverage. • Serves beer to guests at bar while practicing alcohol consumption awareness. Verifies age drinking limit and recognizes when guests have reached their drinking limit and refuses to provide additional alcoholic beverages if needed, escalates the situation and issues/complaints to manager. • Understands and practices good safety and sanitation procedures and ensures that team members are working in a safe manner. • Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Provides minimal supervision to a unit or group of team members, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the Viejas Bowl. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • California Responsible Beverage Service Training and Certification required upon hire. • Food Handler’s Certificate required. • Must be age 21 years of age or older. • 3 or more years of related experience. • Supervisory/leadership experience preferred. • Excellent guest service skills. • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel. • Organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and values teamwork. • Demonstrate strong motivational commitment to the organization. • Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude. • Ability to multitask and work well under stress. • Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change. • Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.
