Reporting to the Senior Manager IB Sales & Service the Sr Service Engineer is responsible to for providing onsite technical service support to customers, including installation, preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution, and customer training. The role also supports service revenue growth through promotion of service contracts, consumables, and identification of upgrade or replacement opportunities and the position will be will be located in Mumbai on site Field work model .

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and resolve customer equipment breakdowns within the assigned region

  • Install, commission, and maintain Videojet equipment at customer sites

  • Perform preventive maintenance as per defined schedules

  • Diagnose technical issues and provide effective corrective actions

  • Raise spare part requests and close service transactions under warranty, CAMP, or chargeable services

  • Promote service contracts and consumables to customers

  • Conduct product demonstrations and provide operator-level customer training

  • Prepare and update service reports in Oracle

  • Identify potential spare parts and equipment requirements, submit quotations, and collect purchase orders

  • Generate service leads for the sales team related to equipment upgrades or replacements

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Engineering degree

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field service or technical service roles

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Effective communication and customer-handling skills

  • Familiarity with the local language

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
