Overview:

Hach Korea, a Veralto (NYSE: VLTO) company, is a global leader in water-quality analysis. The Commercial Operation Manager leads the integrated operation of Customer Service (CS) and Supply Chain Management (SCM – Inbound & Outbound), owning the end-to-end process from order entry through sourcing, customs, inventory and outbound shipment. The role ensures full compliance, directly manages the CS·SCM team (people management) and partners closely with Sales, dealers, Service and Finance to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. CS / Commercial Operation

  • Receive customer POs and perform Order Entry (incl. D/C approval); create and manage internal SO, RMA, Warranty and Cancel transactions
  • Prepare pre-shipment steps per distributor, manage RQD changes and shipping info / SO; support Shipment List and tax-invoice issuance
  • Handle post-shipment inquiries and complaints, issue CoC/CoA certificates, and support Sales Reports and Forecast (RQD) updates

2. SCM Inbound — Sourcing, Import & Compliance

  • Manage sourcing order status and schedule (incl. demo equipment); review MOQ and order units
  • Confirm product-registration eligibility and manage compliance: CCA Review, COO / origin certificates and related sourcing documents
  • Pre-verify import documents and conditions; manage risk at the customs-preparation stage

3. SCM Outbound — Inventory, Logistics & Shipment

  • Execute import/customs clearance and duty handling; manage HS Code registration/changes and KC certification list; reflect regulatory changes
  • Monitor inventory levels and Aged / Slow-moving / Excess inventory; manage warehouse stock-takes and inventory accuracy
  • Manage 3PL operations (KPI & handling standards) and forwarders (FedEx, Expeditors, etc.); analyze delivery claims and prevent recurrence

4. People & Cross-functional Management

  • Directly manage the CS·SCM team — work allocation, training, capability development and performance management
  • Partner closely with Sales, dealers, Service and Finance to coordinate orders, shipments, invoicing and settlement
  • Drive SOP/Kaizen process improvement, KPI management and SOX / internal-compliance governance

Essential Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in BOTH SCM Inbound (sourcing/import/customs) and Outbound (inventory/logistics/shipment) — required
  • People management (direct team leadership) experience — required
  • Understanding of import/customs and compliance (product registration, CCA Review, KC certification, HS Code, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree or above (engineering / chemistry / environmental, or business / logistics related)
  • 8+ years across CS and SCM, including supervisory / managerial responsibility
  • ERP experience required (Oracle preferred)
  • Fluent English (written & verbal) for global reporting, documentation and HQ communication
  • Strong communication and coordination across Sales, dealers, Service and Finance; sound problem-solving under pressure

Preferred

  • Master's degree or professional certification in SCM / logistics; experience in a multinational (matrix) organization
  • 3PL / forwarder management and inventory-optimization (Aged / E&O) experience
