Founding Growth, Consumer Brand Vertical
About this role
VideoGen offers B2B AI marketing software for consumer brands (CPG, retail, and ecommerce/DTC). We sell horizontally through PLG (self-serve, many kinds of users).
Your main job is growing our consumer-brand B2B angle: help us win over the marketers and creatives at those companies and agencies that make ads and buy creative tools.
What we're looking for:
You need enough fluency in that world to talk to and market to consumer brands.
You should have experience launching and managing various digital marketing channels. You should have a strong understanding of SEO and PLG.
What you'll do:
Be the internal authority in strategic/product discussions on consumer brand customers: understand their pain points, budgets, and how VideoGen fits into their workflow
Help design and build in-product funnels for generating leads and upselling self-serve customers
Use VideoGen the way a consumer brand marketer/creator would and provide detailed product feedback to shape the roadmap
Own and manage lightweight marketing channels (SEO, email, organic social, affiliate) pre-Series A
Talk to users, customers, and prospects to capture product and market insights that inform go-to-market strategy
Lead small growth experiments to generate insights or incremental revenue
Create foundational marketing materials including ICPs, personas, and sales decks for the consumer brands vertical
Use AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor) to research, run analysis, and build internal tools/automations
Post-Series A: scale marketing budget to $1M/year+, run comprehensive paid and organic loops, and build a small in-house growth team
