What you'll do

As a business development intern, you will support the company's growth by assisting the business team in identifying new opportunities, generating and developing leads, and promoting the company's products and services.

 

You will play a crucial role in identifying new markets, competitor positioning, and industry trends. You will develop your skills by collaborating closely with our internal team and regional partners to ensure progress and increase revenue.

 


The day-to-day

  • Facilitate the creation of the opportunity pipeline by evaluating the potential market and following up on the progress with the involved parties.
  • Support the development of new strategic partnerships and sales channels to ensure business growth.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and proposals for meeting.
  • Supply to the development of compelling value propositions for the Viasat offerings and work with marketing department to have them produced into marketing materials (slides, brochures, case studies, videos)
  • Support current partners in addressing new opportunities by providing commercial assistance.
  • Collaborate with the pre-sales team to obtain and share essential information for new business proposals.
  • Assist in creating the financial components of the business plan to showcase the potential of the business.

What you'll need

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, and/or a related field.
  • Ability to work 20-30 hours/week in a hybrid format, in person 3 days per week in person at the Viasat office (São Paulo) during business hours
  • Brazilian citizenship required

Additional Requirements:

  • Passion for crafting structured quantitative and qualitative analyses to analyze arguments and their sensitivity through financial models.
  • Able to articulately present and debate recommendations with senior leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Dedicated person with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail.

What will help you on the job

  • Beyond Business Administration, we prefer students to be in an Engineering program (Electrical Engineering or related field).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a particular passion for technology.
  • A collaborative approach, a sense of curiosity, and a desire for impact.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of interpersonal flexibility and handle multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and meet goals/deadlines.
  • Analytical and solution-focused tendencies. Ability to think creatively to leverage data to make key decisions.
  • Intermediate to advanced English - spoken and written.

Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
