Job Summary:

The Manager, HNI, Domestic & Global Mobility Tax is responsible for leading the delivery of U.S. tax compliance services for High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), domestic taxpayers, globally mobile employees, trusts, estates, and gifting structures. The role oversees the end-to-end compliance lifecycle for complex individual, fiduciary, gift, and estate tax engagements, including Forms 1040, 1041, 709, and 706. The Manager provides technical leadership on complex tax matters, manages client and stakeholder relationships, ensures high-quality and timely delivery, and drives operational excellence across engagements. This role also plays a key part in developing talent, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and risk management standards

Prerequisites:

  • 8+ years of experience in U.S. individual taxation with significant exposure to HNI, domestic, global mobility, trust, gift, and estate tax compliance.

  • US CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation required.

  • Demonstrated experience reviewing complex Forms 1040, 1041, 709, and 706.

  • Strong technical expertise in U.S. individual, fiduciary, gift, estate, multi-state, and international tax matters.

  • Proven experience managing teams, client relationships, and large-scale tax compliance engagements.

  • Exceptional analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills

Job Description:

Lead the preparation, review, and signing of complex U.S. individual, fiduciary, gift, and estate tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1041, 709, and 706. Manage a portfolio of HNI, domestic, and global mobility clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax compliance services. Review complex tax returns involving multi-state taxation, trusts and estates, K-1 reporting, foreign financial assets, international information reporting, PFICs, equity compensation, executive compensation, and cross-border tax considerations. Provide technical guidance on individual, trust, gift, and estate tax matters, including wealth transfer planning considerations and tax reporting requirements. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex tax technical issues and engagement-related risks. Manage the end-to-end tax compliance lifecycle from engagement acceptance, data gathering, preparation, review, signing, client delivery, and post-filing support. Partner with U.S. advisors, engagement teams, and clients to resolve technical issues, manage expectations, and deliver exceptional client service. Monitor engagement budgets, productivity, turnaround times, and quality metrics to achieve operational and financial objectives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations, firm policies, data privacy requirements, and quality control standards. Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology and automation, and enhance overall service delivery. Lead, coach, and mentor tax professionals, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning. Support practice development initiatives, knowledge-sharing efforts, and the expansion of HNI, trust, estate, gift tax, and mobility-related service offerings
