$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days)

 

Position: Community Living Specialist 3 - CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)

Location: Pittsfield, MA

Rate of Pay: $26.00-$28.00 Per hour depending upon level of experience

Schedule: 40 Hours per week; Monday-Friday with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed

Summary: Full-time Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) needed to join a team in a DMH-funded program serving adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This role includes working in a 6-bed residential setting and providing community-based support to a small caseload. Responsibilities include delivering psychoeducation, building recovery skills, supporting clients in developing sober networks, and facilitating dual diagnosis groups. Experience with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and group facilitation required; familiarity with DMH assessments and treatment planning is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts CADC certification. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a willingness to transport members in personal vehicle. 
  • Ability to use computers, including Microsoft Outlook, data entry systems, email, and internet applications, is essential.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group substance use counseling
  • Deliver substance use education and implement appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
