The Special Projects Department supports the operational teams in the field and is responsible for managing projects with significant operational complexity. This includes work on Vestas turbines and multi-brand projects, such as the execution of main component replacements and blade repairs or replacements.

 

Direct support to the Special Projects Supervisors, with the main tasks including:
• Supporting the development of strategies and definition of priorities together with the Blade Technical Planner and Technical Support Specialist, in collaboration for the construction of the department's annual project portfolio.• Ensuring the development of management plans for special and operational projects, making sure that all demands identified and classified as priorities by other areas are properly planned and managed within a defined scope validated with internal clients and stakeholders.• Acting as an integrator between departments (Planning, Execution, Internal Client, Service Provider), aiming to promote effective communication regarding scope definition, delivery deadlines, assigned costs, and the responsibility matrix.
• Preparing the physical and financial schedule of projects, describing the sequence of stages as well as the financial disbursement of the project, including direct and outsourced labor.
• Ensuring the proper execution of projects by defining the required resources, identifying risks inherent to the activity, and tracking technicians' working hours according to the scheduled/planned activities, to guarantee that projects are completed within the expected time, cost, and quality.
• Monitoring, controlling, and publishing project status, reporting to management the progress of activities, next steps, and risks - including probability and impact.
• Ensuring that the planning flow is followed, from the initial demand stage (Categorizations and Planning and/or Continuous Improvement Management - CIM) to project closure (Issuance of Inspection/Repair Report and Approvals).
• Leading internal improvement projects within the department, proposing new controls or enhancements to existing ones, standardizations, and process audits involving holdblocks that may hinder the smooth flow of activities.
