About this role

Planning Supervisor

Role Summary
The Planning Supervisor will lead and oversee the day-to-day manufacturing planning activities across Pelzer Operations, ensuring production demand is translated into accurate, executable production plans. This role will have direct ownership of WON creation, management, reporting, and governance, while driving alignment between customer demand, production schedules, material availability, and factory execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Pelzer Production Planning team and daily planning activities.
  • Own the WON process, including WON creation, release, maintenance, closure, and overall governance.
  • Develop and maintain WON reporting, providing visibility to open, released, completed, past-due, and at-risk WONs.
  • Ensure WONs are correctly aligned to Sales Orders, BOMs, routings, quantities, and required production dates.
  • Own and maintain production schedules across the Pelzer factories based on demand, capacity, material availability, and customer priorities.
  • Translate customer demand and backlog into executable daily, weekly, and forward-looking production plans.
  • Partner closely with Materials, Procurement, Production, Engineering, Order Entry, and other support functions to identify and resolve planning constraints.
  • Monitor schedule attainment and identify gaps between the production plan and actual factory output.
  • Support MRP execution and ERP planning discipline, ensuring system data accurately reflects operational requirements.
  • Identify BOM, routing, Sales Order, or system-data issues preventing WON creation or production execution and drive them to resolution with the appropriate teams.
  • Maintain visibility of upcoming demand and ensure WONs are created sufficiently ahead of production requirements.
  • Lead daily/weekly planning reviews with Production and Materials leadership.
  • Establish and maintain planning KPIs, including WON readiness, schedule attainment, past-due WONs, production plan adherence, and demand coverage.
  • Escalate capacity, material, engineering, or system constraints that put customer commitments or revenue at risk.
  • Drive standardization of planning processes across Pelzer operations and ensure consistent execution by the planning team.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end production/revenue requirements through clear production priorities and execution plans.
