Frequency: 30-40 hours per week
As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers.
Responsabilities
- Lead Product Qualification Activities at Suppliers – Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs)
- Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at supplier customer facilities, warehouses or customers globally.
- Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues.
- Assist with process improvements.
- Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process.
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
- Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business
- Audit existing and potential suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place.
- Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements
- Interact with customer-facing businesses to investigate potential product non-conformances
- Product manufacturing development and improvement via regular in person presence at supplier sites
Qualifications:

- Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable.
- Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously.
- Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
- Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end.
- Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability.
- Experience working with or at manufacturing facilities
- Experience working with critical parts. (Complex parts such as disc, shaft, complex assemblies)
Preferred:

- Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
- SAP experience.
Working requirements:

- In office presence – 3 days min per week
- No legal travel regulations
- Travel to suppliers up to 50%
