Job Description

This is a Technical Sales Manager position focused on developing and managing water treatment equipment and service contracts across the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Prospect and develop customer accounts in heavy industrial sectors
  • Account Management: Manage existing customer relationships and drive year-over-year growth
  • Full Sales Cycle Management: Handle prospecting through contract negotiation and close
  • Solution Development: Work with multi-disciplinary teams to create customer-focused water treatment solutions
  • Strategic Planning: Create growth plans and forecast sales performance
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with services teams and other Veolia commercial teams.

Qualifications

Critical Requirements

Must Have:

  • 5+ years in sales/relationship management with heavy industrial water/wastewater treatment customers
  • Technical knowledge of water treatment technologies (RO, IX, EDI, UF, MBR, filtration, etc.)
  • Understanding of heavy industry applications (power, chemicals, steel, paper, refining, food, beverage, manufacturing)
  • Salesforce and Google Workspace proficiency
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable with ~35% domestic travel (primarily within OH, KY, IN, MI)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience with Strategic Selling methodology (Miller Heiman)
  • Residence within the sales territory.
