Manager, Geotechnical (Civil Engineer)

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Your primary role will be to support the Wind Development sites under construction as a manager of Vena Energy, assisting the site teams of the SPV Employees and the OE consultants, reporting directly to the respective Project Managers of the said projects, your duties will include, but not be limited to the following areas of works onsite.
Review and monitor historical and ongoing site geotechnical investigation works, laboratory testing and any reports generated in respects to these works.
Oversee quality control of geotechnical data collection and interpretation.
Review and monitor site civil works, which will include the construction of the Site Access roads, WTG Foundations, Crane pads and Hardstands, slope protection works, site drainage works, MV Collection System works, Substation works, Transmission Line works.
Provide input on risk assessments, method statements and other deliverables provided by the Contractor relating to the above civil design including the geotechnical investigation works
Coordinate with the independent consulting engineering company performing a comprehensive review and analysis of the civil design, site conditions, and geotechnical interpretation of test results, among other tasks
Review and report on detailed designs, draft plans, technical specifications, and any other supporting documents issued by contractors or suppliers.
Carry out daily site investigations and other site works inspections using the Wind Construction inspection templates from the Document Manage System and ensure upload of all inspection and test information to the project portals.
Work with and alongside designers to review designs with input from a professional civil view.
Supervise and report on implementation works onsite to ensure compliance of the design and strict adherence to the material specifications.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental requirements and industry standards
Review and inspect materials being delivered to site and ensure complete records are taken and logged in the project portal.
Attend and witness test as required onsite, and occasionally offsite as required.
Attend scheduled meetings and have an involvement in these meetings and where required deliver reports or minutes from the meetings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Pre-requisites:
Must be a licensed Civil Engineer
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in civil engineering and construction, preferably in wind energy projects, renewable energy infrastructure or large-scale infrastructure or power projects
Demonstrated expertise in:
Geotechnical site investigations and laboratory testing
Earthworks, crane pads, hardstands, and access roads
Substation and transmission line civil works
Ability to:
Review and interpret geotechnical reports and soil investigation data
Assess contractor method statements, risk assessments, and civil designs
Review IFC drawings, technical specifications, and detailed plans
Conduct site inspections and monitor compliance with design, materials, and quality standards
Collaborate with designers and provide professional civil engineering input
Coordinate with Project Managers, SPV employees, OE consultants, and independent engineering consultants
Participate in meetings and prepare reports or meeting minutes as required
Knowledge of:
Construction quality control and inspection procedures
Local building regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes
Health, safety, and environmental best practices in construction
Site-based with willingness to travel to different project sites
