Construction Management, Senior Associate
About this role
Position Summary
We are looking for a Construction Management Senior Associate to support renewable energy construction projects in Japan. This role will be one of a primary on-site responsible and will support daily construction management, contractor coordination, progress tracking, documentation, quality control, and health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily site management and act as a key on-site contact for construction activities.
- Monitor work progress, site production, and deviations from the project schedule.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Support materials delivery checks, site documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and quality records.
- Ensure site activities comply with contract requirements, quality standards, Japanese safety regulations, and company standards.
- Identify and escalate site risks, design conflicts, or construction issues in a timely manner.
- Support Construction Managers and Project Managers in smooth and safe project execution.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, site management, WTG installation, or renewable energy projects.
- Experience in wind, solar, EPC, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects in Japan is preferred.
- Good understanding of contractor coordination, site progress monitoring, quality control, documentation, and safety requirements.
- Business-level Japanese or English communication skills; both languages are preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; CAD or project documentation tools are a plus.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Civil or Electrical Construction Management Engineer certification is a plus.
