About this role

Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to support the financial and operational management of renewable energy assets, including solar and wind projects.

You will focus on project finance management, financial performance monitoring, operational support, and compliance activities to ensure the efficient operation and long-term success of renewable energy investments.

You will have foundational experience in project finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Finance Management

  • Support project financing activities, including loan covenant monitoring and lender relationship management

  • Assist in preparing financial reports for lenders and investors

  • Ensure compliance with financing agreements and contractual obligations

  • Support optimization of capital structures and financing strategies

Financial Performance Monitoring

  • Track and analyze financial performance, including revenue, operating costs, and cash flow

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities

  • Identify performance trends and provide recommendations to improve EBITDA and asset returns

Operational Oversight

  • Collaborate with operations and technical asset management teams to ensure optimal asset performance

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including energy output, availability, and downtime

  • Support maintenance planning and operational efficiency initiatives

  • Coordinate with contractors, service providers, and technical teams to ensure smooth operations

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, financing covenants, and internal policies

  • Support risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities

  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting standards

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and technical teams

  • Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment

  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives

Pre-Requisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.

  • At least 2 years of experience in project finance or related fields.

  • Experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in project finance, is preferred.

  • Financial modeling and analytical capabilities

  • Understanding of loan agreements and financing documentation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. Knowledge in AI tools is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
