Lifecycle Services APAC - Material/Baggage Handling System

As a Service Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in driving sales success by selling services related to automated baggage handling systems. Collaborating closely with the Director LCS SEA and the Sales Engineering team, you will be responsible for identifying customer needs, developing optimal service solutions, and presenting these proposals to clients. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the services align with customer business goals while also achieving commercial success.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the concept stage of service sales projects, guiding a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative service solutions.

  • Translate service solutions into detailed plans, ensuring alignment with technical and operational requirements.

  • Design service solutions for medium to large projects, using operational data, process analysis, and customer requirements.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a key discussion partner and influencing decision-makers at tactical and strategic levels.

  • Take ownership of the accuracy and validation of service pricing, ensuring solutions are cost-effective and meet margin targets.

  • Act as a business advisor, helping customers understand the value of services and persuading them to award follow-up contracts.

  • Drive innovation by implementing new or improved processes, methodologies, and tools within service sales projects.

  • Travel internationally within APAC up to 30-40% of the time.

Your Qualifications:

  • Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electro-mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in designing and selling services for automated baggage handling systems.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex logistics problems and design appropriate service solutions.

  • Demonstrated sales acumen, with experience influencing design strategies and pricing decisions.

  • Ability to lead and coach Sales Engineers, providing functional leadership within bid teams.

  • Skilled at building professional relationships with customers and internal teams, influencing stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience working in dynamic, international environments with cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% regionally.
