Role Responsibilities

The Asset Management Lead is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving the Asset Management System across the Heathrow Strategic Partnership.

This role ensures asset performance, risk management, and lifecycle decision-making are aligned to ISO 55000 principles and contractual objectives, delivering measurable improvements in reliability, cost efficiency, and long-term asset value.

Your responsibilities and activities will include:

Asset Management System & Governance

  • Own and develop the end-to-end Asset Management System aligned to ISO 55000 / IAM frameworks
  • Act as the recognised authority for asset management across the partnership
  • Lead asset management maturity assessments and continuous improvement activities

Strategy & Roadmap Delivery

  • Develop and deliver the Asset Management Roadmap aligned to business objectives
  • Lead the creation and governance of: Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP)Asset Management Plans (AMPs) Asset System Strategies

Performance, Risk & Value

  • Define and embed asset performance frameworks, KPIs, and asset health measures
  • Integrate risk-based decision-making across maintenance, lifecycle, and investment planning
  • Ensure maintenance strategies are aligned to asset criticality and operational impact

Lifecycle Planning & Optimisation

  • Own lifecycle planning (LCP) and long-term asset strategy
  • Enable data-driven decisions on asset condition, obsolescence, and replacement
  • Align lifecycle investment with performance, risk, and business priorities

Continuous Improvement & Digital Enablement

  • Identify and deliver asset management improvement initiatives
  • Drive adoption of digital tools and data-driven practices to enhance performance insight
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement and asset management capability

Stakeholder Alignment & Integration

  • Lead cross-functional integration across engineering, operations, projects, and supply chain
  • Represent asset management in strategic partnership initiatives with Heathrow and stakeholders
  • Provide expert advisory support on asset performance, risks, and strategy

Compliance & Assurance

  • Support ISO 55001 assurance, audits, and governance frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with asset management policies, standards, and contractual requirements

Role Qualification and Skills

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Asset Management, or related discipline
    • Strong knowledge of ISO 55000 / IAM principles
    • Proven experience in:
  • Asset management system development and maturity improvement
  • Delivering asset management roadmaps and strategic initiatives
  • Stakeholder management within complex operational environments
    • Ability to translate strategy into practical, value-driven outcomes
