Job Description: Project Manager I

The Project Manager I is the primary interface with our customer and sub-contractors, including front line contacts with airport management, consultants, and architects to understand customer needs and translate them into solutions. This role also provides leadership to a small, multi-disciplined team of project and operations staff.

Responsibilities:

o Assume administrative, contractual, technical, and financial control of the project

o Interface with customer as the company’s primary contact

o Organize and manage the project team and develop effective relationships

o Lead a multi-disciplined team; establish priorities, coordinate concurrent activities, promote effective interactions among departments, and provide the team with leadership

o Ensure that our delivery meets all aspects of customer system contract performance, including functional specifications, system performance, safety, scheduling, and staffing

o Meet internal requirements on cost control, project reporting, accounts receivables, profitability, and customer relationship management

o Preserve the integrated system design to meet system performance and technical specification requirements

o Manage the project master schedule to achieve timely completion of the contract

o Manage project cash flow and schedule of deliverables against price/time curves

o Exceptional organizational skills and a track record of working effectively in a team environment that incorporates engineering and project management

o Proactive and hands-on work ethic

o Strong team-oriented mentality and acceptance of responsibility for project completion

o Self-motivated with proven problem-solving ability, especially in intense situations

o Proven willingness and ability to think creatively and stay current with industry trends, equipment, and standards

o Promote effective interactions among many departments, groups, and stakeholders

o Understanding of highly technical and mechanical baggage handling/ conveyor systems

o Demonstrated familiarity working with consultants, contractors, and architects within the construction industry

o Sound knowledge of contract law

Qualifications:

o Experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in the successful completion projects of 30-50 million in the Construction and/or Material Handling Industry.

o Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience demonstrating increasing levels of project value and complexity.

o Experience with managing Airports Projects is desirable

o Willing and able to travel up to 50%

o Able to obtain a security clearance pass

o PMP certification an asset
