We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Controller to join our global procurement business control team. In this role, you will support day-to-day business controlling activities and act as a trusted finance partner for our procurement organization. You will provide clear financial insights, accurate reporting and a strong connection between procurement and other finance teams, such as Finance Transformation, Accounts Payable and Business Finance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both operational detail and the bigger picture. You are comfortable working with data, asking the right questions, challenging assumptions and escalating topics when needed. You will help bring transparency to procurement performance, cost movements and savings opportunities across the organization.

The role

As Procurement Controller, you will be part of the global procurement business control team and report to the Global Procurement Controller. You will work closely with procurement stakeholders and finance colleagues across the organization to support budgeting, forecasting, spend analysis and reporting.

You will be the first point of contact for procurement's finance-related operational questions and help connect the right teams to resolve issues effectively. By combining financial expertise with business partnering, you will contribute to better procurement decisions, stronger cost governance and consistent financial reporting.

What you'll do

  • Lead the governance of procurement cost movements (cost down, cost up and cost avoidance), including reviewing and approving initiatives, maintaining the methodology, and continuously improving reporting and tooling.

  • Challenge procurement teams on reported savings and identify opportunities to strengthen the quality and value of cost improvement initiatives.

  • Perform supplier financial risk assessments as part of daily procurement operations and provide financial guidance on supplier-related risks.

  • Manage supplier bank guarantees and other financial security instruments where required.

  • Drive payment term improvements together with Category Management to optimize working capital.

  • Support and execute the monthly closing process for Global Procurement, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for procurement-related activities.

  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support procurement performance and business decision-making.

  • Act as a finance business partner to procurement stakeholders and collaborate with Business Finance, Accounts Payable and Finance Transformation.

  • Conduct spend analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Safeguard compliance with finance policies, procurement governance and global standards, and escalate complex financial or governance issues to the Global Procurement Controller where appropriate

What you bring

  • A degree in Finance, Business Control, Economics or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Controlling, Finance or Business Partnering.
  • Experience with Procurement or Supply Chain is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work both in detail and at a holistic level.
  • A proactive and curious mindset, with the confidence to ask questions and challenge assumptions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect procurement, finance and other stakeholders.
  • Reliability, trustworthiness and the ability to build relationships across cultures.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
  • Experience with ERP and BI tools is an advantage.
  • Fluent English language skills.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 5.000 to € 6.600 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
