Job Purpose

 

We are seeking a self-motivated and results driven Territory Manager- Central West, Victoria to join our team in Melbourne. This is a rewarding opportunity with generous base salary and incentive program.

Reporting to the Commercial and Industrial Manager, Southern Region, you will be responsible for maintaining major accounts and to prospect and secure new business in the Central West, Victoria region.

 

How You Make An Impact (Job Accountabilities)

 

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for the acquisition of new business
  • Building and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships with key accounts to achieve growth and optimize promotional activities
  • Achieving monthly sales targets in all categories
  • Monitoring and maintaining existing customers and increasing Valvoline’s product range of business
  • Liaising with supply chain on product forecasting and trends with view to seamless product supply to designated market segments
  • Territory analysis of accounts for gross profit, client usage, follow ups with amortized accounts
  • On-going development of sales skills, product knowledge, customer service and teamwork
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • Reviewing, analysing, and discussing monthly reports with C&I Manager and Automotive manager
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

 

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, whilst not essential, would be highly regarded
  • 2+ years of sales experience in the Transport and Industrial sector is an advantage
  • The ability to be computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A valid driver’s licence

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements / Travel Requirements

  • Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Based in Hamilton or Ballarat. Driving in Motor Vehicle
  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel required, with customer meetings expected most days of the week, including up to 10% overnight travel per month
