How You’ll Make an Impact

The role of a material handler is receiving and shipping freight. They are responsible for picking orders loading and unloading trucks, as well as receiving, storing, consolidating inventory, and distributing materials.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Safely operate a forklift to assist in receiving, storing, picking, staging and loading inventory.
  • Prepare and load customer orders for shipment. Receive, store and replenish inventory.
  • Complete needed SAP / Scan Gun transactions.
  • Conduct inventory counts as requested
  • Complete training classes. 
  • Follow company guidelines regarding safety.
  • Accurately complete needed paperwork for all transactions.
  • Complete any housekeeping activities that may be required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You'll Need

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  •  Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull more using tools (drum dolly, pallet jack, etc.)
  •  Minimum 2 years experience in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift experience.
  •  SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong work history.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivator, positive attitude and team player.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 
  • Must be capable of standing and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Environment: Warehouse has heat, but no AC (fans only)
