The role of the Customer Service Rep is responsible for managing customer orders received from a variety of sources, handling customer inquiries, and concerns, while using research skills to troubleshoot customer issues.  

 

Responsibilies:

 

  • Process and manage customer orders
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns related to orders and accounts  - which includes understanding and identifying data issues and submitting them for correction using the Master Data platform 
  • Research accounts receivable variances based on customer payments.  May be asked to attend monthly Credit/Accounts Receivable meetings to discuss account issues alongside the VGO Credit Team.  May also be required to process weekly and biweekly payments to customers and/or research and make corrections related to the distributor delivered process .  
  • Provide proactive communication to internal and external business partners
  • Must be able to work with plants, carriers, and others to schedule shipments to meet customer requirements 
  • Must be able to navigate systems outside of the SAP ordering system, for example: customer specific portals, Salesforce, etc. 
  • Must be able to resolve customer account issues in a timely and professional manner 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion 

 

Requirements;

 

  • High School Diploma or GED is required/ college degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Customer Service or related experience
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point) required
  • Ability to work in office Monday to Friday full time (Lexington, KY)
