POSITION PROFILE
Under the leadership of the Executive Housekeeper or the Director of Housekeeping, you are to provide supervision and direction for all housekeeping activities of the hotel in a safe and efficient manner; ensuring the highest level of cleanliness; and maintaining guest satisfaction while protecting the assets and minimize expenses.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES
➢ Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards. Document and report any issues or deficiencies to the appropriate department.
➢ Staff Training and Supervision: Train and supervise housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and guest service standards.
➢ Guest Interaction: Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
➢ Inventory Management: Assist in management of cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure all necessary materials are available.
➢ Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure rooms are ready for guests and to facilitate smooth operations.
➢ Quality Control: Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure quality control and consistency among housekeeping staff.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Rooms Management or a related management position.
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Strong leadership qualities, the ability to motivate staff, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and resolve conflicts.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed by the business.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend,and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Be able to push and pull carts
- Good vision for detailed inspection
- Manual dexterity for handling equipment and machinery in a hot, humid, and noisy environment where chemicals are.
