POSITION PROFILE

Maintain lobby and public space areas, as assigned by management, in a clean and orderly condition according to standard procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Meeting Room & Event Set-Up
• Set up and break down meeting rooms, classrooms, and event spaces according to
event diagrams and daily schedules.
• Arrange tables, chairs, podiums, audiovisual equipment, and other meeting
materials to established standards.
• Reset meeting spaces promptly between events.
• Ensure all meeting rooms are clean, organized, and presentation ready prior to
guest arrival.
• Assist with room flips and last-minute setup changes as requested.
Facility Cleanliness & Appearance
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all Learning Campus meeting rooms,
classrooms, hallways, storage areas, and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, counters, and meeting equipment after each use.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards promptly.
• Ensure all public areas remain neat, stocked, and welcoming throughout the day.
Catering & Hospitality Support
• Set up and replenish coffee breaks, refreshment stations, water stations, and snack
breaks.
• Assist with the setup and service of continental breakfasts, boxed lunches, buffets,
and other catered functions.
• Monitor food and beverage stations to ensure cleanliness and adequate product
levels.
• Break down catering stations following events.
• Transport food, beverages, equipment, and supplies between locations as needed.
Bunkhouse Support
• Assist the Housekeeping team with bunkhouse turnovers between group arrivals
and departures.
• Help prepare bunkhouses by moving furniture as needed, making beds, stocking
supplies, and ensuring facilities meet cleanliness standards.
• Support housekeeping operations during peak occupancy periods.
• Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues discovered during room inspections.
Equipment & Inventory
• Maintain meeting room furniture and equipment in good working condition.
• Safely transport tables, chairs, catering equipment, and supplies throughout the
campus.
• Organize storage rooms and maintain proper inventory of meeting supplies.
• Notify management when supplies need replenishment.
Safety & Compliance
• Follow all hotel, Learning Campus, Hilton, Valor Hospitality, and State Park safety
standards.
• Maintain safe lifting and material handling practices.
• Follow proper sanitation and food safety procedures during catering events.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
• Immediately report accidents, unsafe conditions, or damaged equipment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous hospitality, banquet, housekeeping, conference center, facilities, or event
setup experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer service attitude.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This position requires continuous physical activity and the ability to:
    • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Push and pull carts, tables, chairs, and banquet equipment.
    • Stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs, and reach overhead frequently.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when supporting campus
    operations.

    WORKING CONDITIONS
    The Learning Campus Houseman works in meeting facilities, classrooms, bunkhouses,
    catering areas, and outdoor campus spaces. The position requires frequent movement
    throughout the campus, including lifting and transporting equipment, supporting event
    operations, and assisting multiple departments to ensure a clean, organized, and guest ready environment.
    SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
    A successful Learning Campus Houseman consistently delivers meeting spaces that are
    professionally set, clean, and fully prepared before guests arrive. They proactively support
    catering functions, maintain exceptional facility cleanliness, assist with efficient
    bunkhouse turnovers, and demonstrate a positive, service-oriented attitude while working
    collaboratively with the Learning Campus, Housekeeping, Banquets, and Food & Beverage
    teams. Their attention to detail and commitment to hospitality directly contributes to an
    outstanding guest experience.
